A challenge to paint everyday!

30 Paintings in 30 Days

Thirty Paintings in Thirty Days Challenge September 2015

I have decided to join hundreds of other artists as we paint every day during the month of September 2015! The website featuring our work is http://lesliesaeta.blogspot.com/2015/09/thirty-paintings-in-30-days-day-one.html .

My theme and direction is to start several new paintings of portraits for my everyday saints series, painting the soul of the people in my life, and the saints that went before us. We are all called to be saints, which is the gradual transformation in God, in whatever stage or place you are in life.

Also I am going to finish several studio paintings, to get the work moving forward, these include landscapes and fugurative work, I have several directions right now and by working through these it will further the path that God has me on.

Nebraska Shrine in the Fall

This last Fall I finished an exciting group of paintings of Schoenstatt Shirnes from all over the US and the Germany. Schoenstatt is an international Catholic Movement founded by Joseph Kinenich. He was exiled in America for several years and live in Waukesha and Milwakee, WI. Since then there have been many shrines all over the US and the World. I wanted to do a series showcasing these shrines in the diferent seasons.
